Hema A/S was founded in 1992, when Henning Mathiasen decided to open up his own business after working for Brüel & Kjær for 30 years.
With a solid background within precision mechanics, it was an obvious choice to continue manufacturing small top-quality precision mechanical components.
To begin with, Hema A/S had cam-controlled machines, manual millers and lathes, but before long, the company invested in CNC lathes and CNC millers. A couple of years later, in 1995, an extension was added to Hema A/S to make room for new CNC equipment.

Turning
When turning items, we work within a range of Ø 0.2 mm to Ø 150 mm.
Sand-/Glass-bead blasting
As a service to our customers, Hema ApS can perform sand or glass-bead blasting as a finishing treatment on its manufactured items.
Milling
We mill items measuring from 1 mm x 1 mm up to 250 mm x 200 mm.
Production equipment
Hema A/S uses highly advanced and flexible equipment ranging from brand-new generations of CNC equipment to old, but extremely well-functioning lathes, turret lathes, millers and cam-controlled automatic machines.

In August 2002, Hema A/S moved from its old premises in Holte to new, larger premises in Gentofte, once again with a view to expanding the company.
